
Moore Norman Technology Center purchased a tru-kut CNC plasma cutting system in the hopes of bringing their welding / fabrication program up-to-date. After researching many types of CNC cutting equipment, MNTC determined that the AKS Cutting Systems was not only the best choice, but would allow the school district to upgrade its components and stay within grant budgets.
Bevill State Community College (BSCC) is a shining example hands-on technology in education. BSCC operates two AKS tru-kut 5 x 10 plasma cutting systems with Hypertherm plasma supplies. Students in the Welding Technology and related programs have the opportunity to learn CNC plasma cutting on industry-leading AKS equipment.
Through the AKS cutting systems educational sales program, Washtenaw Community College received an accu-cut 6×12 plasma cutting system with the industry-leading robo-kut 5-axis robotic bevel cutting head.
Lewanee Intermediate School District (LISD) recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the latest expansion, designed to provide more room for the latest technology. Twenty welding stations and a new AKS tru-kut 5×10′ plasma cutting system, equipped with a Hypertherm PowerMax85 power supply, were part of the addition.
